Data platform thanks to digital receipts

Mikko Rieger put it in a nutshell in his contribution to Payment & Banking:

The year 2020 was not the year of the receipt — yet the issue of obligation to issue receipts was present in all media at the beginning of the year. Voices were quickly heard from the population about the waste of paper and the flood of receipts that prevailed from January 1, 2020. Quick solutions should become established and retailers began to show increased interest in digital solutions.

A conceivable tailwind for the technology and infrastructure company anybill, which pursues the vision of digitizing the receipt, establishing smart added value for retailers, customers and credit institutions and, for example, using omni-channel strategies to better digitally connect online and offline retail.

Challenge “digital receipt” accepted

Rieger discusses the challenges currently faced by companies that want to offer digital receipts combined with smart added value. This includes why Corona hasn't exactly promoted the digitization of receipts. It also shows which possible usage scenarios the digital receipt can establish.
