Payment reformation: Card-linked receipt — digital receipt now also in connection with card payment

Munich. From now on, customers of team energie GmbH & Co. KG at around 100 gas stations can receive digital receipts directly at the cash register by card payment. The digital receipt is automatically provided to customers via email/SMS or in certain apps and wallets. After a one-time QR code scan and linking the card, no further scan is necessary and customers automatically receive receipts digitally with every card payment -- without additional process steps. All types of cards can be used: Girocard, credit cards, virtual cards (mobile payment) and fuel cards. For team energie customers, it offers advantages for automatic expense management and also the connection to loyalty programs.

Card-linked receipt: Benefits for retailers and consumers

With the card-linked receipt, retailers establish a valuable customer touchpoint and thus the opportunity to address customers. Targeted advertising measures are possible through e-mail consents with and without an app download or registration for the customer program. The card-linked receipt serves as the first touchpoint with customers in stationary retail and thus also as a pioneer and tech enabler for loyalty programs and data enrichment for CRM systems. In addition, the checkout process is accelerated and simplified, as there is no need to scan a QR code or print a receipt.

Consumers also benefit from this, of course: never forget receipts again, never collect paper receipts again. All receipts are automatically transmitted with every card payment and are associated with the respective transaction. As a result, receipts can be easily retrieved at any time and used for returns and exchanges, cashback benefits or even accounting.

anybill cooperates with network operators and acquirers

anybill presents a solution that links the receipt directly with the card payment without the need for additional processes. The focus is on comprehensive coverage, with close cooperation with network operators and acquirers creating decisive advantages over competitors.

In the German market, where the girocard share is over 90% and local schemes such as Girocard continue to play an important role, anybill stands out through strategic partnerships with network operators and acquirers as well as card schemes. The strategic partnership enables anybill to cover both national card schemes (such as Girocard) and international schemes (such as Visa and Mastercard).

Successful implementation at team energie

Team Energie has been relying on digital receipts with anybill and the cash register partner HUTH Elektronik Systeme GmbH since January 2023. Team Energie is now taking the next logical step and will introduce receipt receipt in connection with card payments at all gas stations. The digital solution was successfully tested by team energie and is now being implemented in all of the company's approximately 100 filling stations. This success is due to the strategic cooperation with WEAT, the network operator, and HUTH Elektronik Systeme GmbH, the cash register software partner. Anybill has expanded the relevant infrastructure so that documents can be received by means of payment at all.
