Working with anybill

LHIND builds and runs the IT landscape behind retail, anybill sits on the receipt. In retail projects the digital receipt can be factored in as an additional building block after the purchase, without LHIND becoming a till manufacturer or anybill replacing consulting work. No certified live connector is claimed here.

The combination is most interesting where LHIND consolidates data. Its retail unit works on exactly the problem that inventory, sales and customer data sit in separate systems and need to be brought together in real time. anybill supplies first-party data from the in-store purchase that can feed such an architecture, for example as input for recommendation systems or store-level analysis.

Who this is for

This is relevant for retailers already running a larger digitalisation programme with a consultancy: omnichannel projects, consolidation of grown system landscapes, store and supply chain management, or building a data platform. Anyone already working on the data layer can take the receipt along rather than retrofitting it later.

It speaks to companies from mid-sized businesses to corporations that sell in store and care about security and compliance standards. The audience is not the single outlet looking for a quick till solution, but the organisation with project scale and its own IT function.

Value in brick-and-mortar retail

In the store the digital receipt cuts paper at the till and turns the moment of payment into a data point rather than a slip. For the kind of work LHIND supports, such as a digital twin of a store or personalised recommendations, the receipt is a reliable record of what was actually bought. At the point of sale it also creates an opt-in touchpoint for further contact, GDPR-compliant and without replacing the existing till and system landscape.
