meiiapp is a platform for branded customer apps, letting businesses offer their own app without developing one themselves. The feature set runs from mobile ordering and table ordering by QR code through a digital loyalty card with stamps, points and stored balance to coupons, push notifications, a store finder and an AI assistant that answers questions about products, opening hours and current offers. Content is managed centrally through a cloud-based backend. The focus is on interfaces: meiiapp extends existing point of sale systems with an app layer and also connects inventory management, payment and other tools. The platform is run by firstconcept GmbH. meiiapp is used in bakeries, butchers, hospitality, retail, pharmacies and in the beauty and hairdressing sector.
meiiapp runs the customer relationship in the app, anybill sits on the receipt. Businesses running their customer app on meiiapp can add the digital receipt from anybill as an extra channel after the purchase. meiiapp stays the app with ordering, loyalty card and campaigns, anybill stays the service for the digital receipt. No certified live connector is claimed here.
The fit comes mainly from the focus on interfaces. meiiapp already sits at the till to pass orders through in real time and to keep the loyalty card up to date. The receipt is created at exactly the same point. anybill can supply first-party data from the in-store purchase that sits beside order history, point balances and coupon redemptions. Ordering, stored balance and campaign logic stay on the meiiapp side.
The combination is relevant for businesses with high footfall and small baskets, which is exactly where meiiapp is at home: bakeries, butchers, hospitality, retail and pharmacies. Thermal paper piles up in those settings while customers rarely take the receipt with them.
It also speaks to point of sale vendors and partners who want to offer their merchants an app layer without tying up their own development resources. Anyone taking that route can factor the digital receipt in from the start rather than retrofitting it later.
In the store the digital receipt cuts paper at the till while meiiapp keeps running ordering, the loyalty card and push notifications. Customers get the receipt digitally in the same place where they already pre-order and check their point balance. At the point of sale an opt-in touchpoint appears: anyone who accepts the digital receipt can allow follow-up contact along the real purchase, GDPR-compliant and without replacing the existing customer app.
