Tableau + anybill

Visual analytics platform from Salesforce: interactive dashboards built on a wide range of data sources.
Zur Website des Partners

Tableau is a platform for visual data analysis, founded in 2003 and part of Salesforce since 2019. Users connect data sources, build interactive dashboards and share them through Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server. Tableau Prep handles cleaning and combining data ahead of the analysis. Its strength is exploratory work: questions arise while looking at the data and can be followed up straight away, without specifying every report in advance. Databases, data warehouses, cloud services and files are connected through a large range of connectors.

Working with anybill

Tableau makes the data visible, anybill supplies a source for it. Retailers running their analysis in Tableau can bring in receipt data from in-store sales as an additional source. Tableau stays the analytics platform, anybill stays the service for the digital receipt. No certified live connector is claimed here.

The point of connection is depth of detail. Exploratory work depends on being able to drill from a metric down to the individual transaction, and in brick-and-mortar retail that trail usually stops at the daily total. anybill can supply data at receipt level that sits beside online orders and ERP figures. Preparation, visualisation and sharing stay on the Tableau side.

Who this is for

This is relevant for retailers using Tableau as an analysis tool in the business units, working through store or assortment questions themselves. Anyone who keeps hitting an aggregation ceiling when drilling down gains the missing level with receipt-based data.

It also speaks to organisations running Tableau alongside Salesforce that want to bring customer data and purchase data together. The audience stays retail with a store floor, not the pure online business.

Value in brick-and-mortar retail

In the store the digital receipt cuts paper at the till and makes the purchase available as a structured record. In Tableau that can be explored directly: basket patterns, store comparisons, the effect of campaigns over time. The receipt is created GDPR-compliant at the point of sale, and the analysis stays where the business units already work.
