Overview
Vinzenzmurr Vertriebs GmbH operates butcher shops and a wholesale business for meat and sausage products in Southern Germany. The principles of freshness, quality, and origin established by company founder Vinzenz Murr have shaped the company's history – from the opening of the first butcher shop in Munich's Schellingstraße in 1902 to the present day.
Solution
The digital receipt, introduced in over 220 branches in collaboration with anybill and Bizerba, is intended to help save resources in operational business, make the checkout process more pleasant, and reduce thermal paper consumption. Furthermore, the expanded receipt service also digitizes all merchant receipts. Receipts from currently over 60,000 transactions per month are no longer printed, collected, and centrally stored, but will be transmitted digitally and archived paperlessly in the future. In addition to saving a lot of manual work, this saves over 100 kilometers of thermal paper annually. Ulrich Wiedemann, IT Manager at Vinzenzmurr, is convinced of the potential of digital receipts: "Thanks to the cooperation with anybill, we now have an innovative tool to optimize our operational processes. This helps us save many kilometers of thermal paper, logistics, and archive space for customer and merchant receipts annually and speed up the sales process." Moreover, digital receipts at Vinzenzmurr also change customer interaction and offer new online marketing channels. Vinzenzmurr expects to generate an additional 500 newsletter sign-ups and 1,000 new Google reviews per month in the future. Anabel Schmid from Bizerba is also excited about the collaboration: "We are pleased that, together with our mutual customer Vinzenzmurr, we could lay the foundation for digitalization in the skilled trades sector. The digital receipt allows us to better support our customers in optimizing workflows and digitalization."
