2,311 ROSSMANN stores power first party data for retail media

Starting Point

With over 2,300 stores in Germany, ROSSMANN is one of Europe’s largest health & beauty retailers. The ROSSMANN app has long been a central touchpoint for digital customer engagement. However, one key feature had been missing: the digital receipt. Customers repeatedly expressed the wish to receive their receipts directly within the app – both through app reviews and internal feedback channels.

Goal

ROSSMANN aimed to seamlessly connect in-store shopping with digital touchpoints – without media disruptions and while creating sustainable added value for its customers. The solution needed to integrate smoothly into the existing IT landscape and unlock new data-driven opportunities in Retail Media.

Solution

In close collaboration with anybill and POS partner COMBASE AG, ROSSMANN implemented a direct digital receipt integration within the ROSSMANN app. The setup is based on anybill’s infrastructure approach: digital receipts without deep POS modifications, designed for speed, scalability, and data depth.
