Overview
Westfalen Group is one of the most established energy companies in Germany and operates an extensive network of 256 gas stations and automated fueling stations. The company focuses on future-oriented solutions for mobility, energy, and customer service. With the introduction of digital receipts, Westfalen takes another step toward sustainability and a modern infrastructure.
Objective
In light of the updated legal requirements for receipt issuance, Westfalen aimed to implement an environmentally friendly and legally compliant alternative to printed receipts. The digital receipt was intended to simplify the payment process for customers, reduce paper waste, and integrate seamlessly into the existing infrastructure.
Implementation
Together with anybill and POS system partner HUTH Elektronik Systeme, Westfalen rolled out digital receipts at all its fueling locations. The solution enables customers to receive their receipt digitally – right after the payment process, entirely without paper. For many customers, the receipt becomes a digital service that is simple to use and provides real added value.
