Starting Point
POCO is one of the most well-known and largest home furnishing retailers in Germany. With more than 12,000 items per store, a growing online offering, and a strong focus on price-performance, POCO is the go-to destination for many people when it comes to furnishing their homes. At the same time, the company is consistently pursuing its goal of digitalizing processes and becoming more sustainable.
Objective
Introducing digital receipts was a logical step in POCO’s digital and ecological transformation. The goal was to create a simple, scalable solution that offers real value to customers while integrating seamlessly into existing processes.
Implementation
Since early 2024, POCO has been rolling out digital receipts – store by store. The solution is now available across all POCO stores nationwide. Customers can conveniently scan a QR code at checkout to retrieve their receipt or, if they are registered app users, receive it automatically via email when presenting their digital loyalty card in the POCO app.
With anybill as the technical partner, the solution was gradually integrated into the existing POS system. The rollout went smoothly and was implemented in close partnership.
Voices on the Collaboration
Jan Scharbatke, Head of Digitalization at POCO:
“Digital receipts have gained very high acceptance as they offer a more sustainable alternative to paper receipts. We are pleased to offer this solution to our customers in all stores.”
Lea Frank, Co-Founder and CEO of anybill:
“POCO is a pioneer in digital customer touchpoints and is taking things one step further with digital receipts. The collaboration has been solution-focused and cooperative from day one – exactly how you’d want a project of this scale to run.”
Result
With the digital receipt solution, POCO significantly reduces paper consumption while creating new customer touchpoints. Receipts can be stored permanently, easily managed, and offer a smart alternative for returns, warranties, or tax purposes. For POCO, digital receipts are another important step towards a modern, sustainable, and service-driven shopping experience.
