Starting Point
Hoyer is one of the leading independent fuel station operators in Germany, with a strong focus on innovation, customer service and sustainability. With more than 240 locations across the country, Hoyer combines a wide product portfolio with customer-oriented services such as the Hoyer Card and mobile payment via the Hoyer app.
Goal
In order to modernize its service offering and support its environmental goals, Hoyer wanted to introduce a digital receipt solution. The aim was to reduce paper waste at the point of sale while also creating a digital touchpoint that could be used for targeted marketing and customer engagement.
Implementation
Together with anybill and the Kassensystem partner MADIC Germany GmbH (formerly Ratio Elektronik GmbH), Hoyer implemented the digital receipt solution in 242 fuel stations. Customers can now receive their receipt digitally at the checkout – either by scanning a QR code or directly through the Hoyer ecosystem.
The digital receipt is more than just a paperless alternative. It creates a new digital communication channel at the moment of payment, making it possible to offer promotions and personalized offers while improving the customer experience and internal processes.
